A short walkthrough for this lesson is on its way. In the meantime, the lesson and practice below have everything you need.
An American set includes eight Jokers, and they can stand in for any tile inside a group of three or more — a pung (three), kong (four), quint (five), or sextet (six).
The one thing a Joker cannot do is fill in for a single tile or a pair. That rule catches every beginner once, and then never again.
If another player has exposed a group with a Joker in it, and you hold the real tile it's standing in for, you can swap your tile for their Joker on your turn. Free wildcard. It feels like stealing, legally.
